Earning Rewards Points

Can I earn points for transactions taken prior to signing up for Xbox LIVE Rewards?
A. You can only earn Rewards Points once you are an Xbox LIVE Rewards member. After signing up and being confirmed of your eligibility, we will begin tracking your activity and rewarding you for things like renewing your Gold membership, subscribing to and using Netflix, or giving us feedback on Xbox LIVE. I’m an Xbox LIVE Free member, why can’t I earn as many points as an Xbox LIVE Gold member?
A. Some of the activities that are being rewarded do require an Xbox LIVE Gold membership. However, free members can still earn points for taking surveys or playing our exclusive promotions. How do I earn Bonus Rewards?
A. As an Xbox LIVE Rewards member, you will gain access to exclusive promotions where you will have a chance to win Microsoft Points, digital prizes, and much more. Remember, not all Xbox LIVE Rewards members will win prizes, but the more you play the more you increase your chances. And keep an eye on your email – you never know when a special offer might show up!

Xbox LIVE Rewards Program

Is this an Xbox sponsored program?
A. Yes. This is a site managed by ePrize on behalf of Xbox. Xbox LIVE Rewards is a loyalty program sponsored by Microsoft Corporation.
How do I sign up for Xbox LIVE Rewards?
A. Follow these steps to sign up for Xbox LIVE Rewards:
  • Go to Xbox.com to connect your Xbox 360 to Xbox LIVE.
  • Come back to the Xbox LIVE Rewards website and enroll into Xbox LIVE Rewards by clicking the “Join Xbox LIVE Rewards” button. You will need a Windows Live account to participate. Please use the Windows Live ID associated with your Xbox LIVE gamertag. If you do not already have a Windows Live account, you can create one for free.
  • It will take up to 36 hours to confirm your eligibility. Once your account is set up, we'll send you an email letting you know you can get started.
Who is eligible to participate in Xbox LIVE Rewards?
A. Xbox LIVE Rewards is open to free and Gold Xbox LIVE members who live in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand or Ireland and are 13 years or older. Please see Terms and Conditions for full eligibility details. If your country of residence is not currently eligible, please check back as we will be evaluating adding other countries to the program.
What types of communications should I receive from Xbox for the Xbox LIVE Rewards program?
A. You will receive program emails for various reasons as a member of the Xbox LIVE Rewards program. Emails include registration confirmation, monthly rewards program updates, and winning a prize in one of our exclusive promotions. Please note that you may receive an email from XboxLiveRewards@eprizefulfillment.com on behalf of Xbox for updates. If you have not already done so, please make sure your junk mail filters are set to receive emails from XboxLiveRewards@eprizefulfillment.com.

Spending Rewards Points

Are Xbox LIVE Rewards Points different than Microsoft Points?
A. No, there is no difference between Rewards Points and Microsoft Points. Xbox LIVE is rewarding you for activities you already do. Rewards Points can be used to purchase anything you would normally buy with your Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE Marketplace.
How do I receive the Microsoft Points I earn through Xbox LIVE Rewards?
A. Xbox LIVE Rewards Points equal to or greater than 100 will be automatically deposited into your Xbox LIVE account each month. It may take up to 45 days for the points you earn to be deposited into your account. If your points total is less than 100, the points will be held as pending until 100 total points are reached and deposited into your account.
Will my Xbox LIVE Rewards Points expire?
A. Rewards Points do expire, so be sure to use them by June 30, 2013. See Terms and Conditions for full details.
How do I know how many Xbox LIVE Rewards Points have been earned and awarded?
A. First, log in to Xbox LIVE Rewards. Once you are on the MyRewards page, you will see your Total Rewards Points Awarded directly next to your personal Avatar. This is a cumulative total of all the points you've been awarded since becoming an Xbox LIVE Rewards member. The Total Rewards Points Awarded summary will show you how many points have been deposited into your Xbox LIVE account.
How long does it take for Pending Points to be deposited into my Xbox LIVE account?
A. It may take up to 45 days for pending points to be deposited into your Xbox LIVE account. Points will be deposited by the 15th of each month. Visit the Xbox LIVE Rewards website often to see which points are still pending and how many Rewards Points you've been awarded. Pending Points will not display in your Total Rewards Points Awarded.
How do I know whether my Rewards Points have been deposited to my account?
A. Log in to Xbox LIVE Rewards to see a summary of your pending, awarded and bonus points on the MyRewards page. You can review these just like any other statement. You will also receive a monthly Rewards statement via email, showing you what you've earned and how many points have been deposited into your Xbox LIVE account. So be sure to provide us your accurate email address so we can notify you when your Rewards Points are ready to spend. You can also look for Rewards Points deposits in your Microsoft Billing Points activity area.
How do I redeem my Xbox LIVE Rewards Points?
A. Since Rewards Points are Microsoft Points, you can redeem them directly at the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. There are no restrictions on the items you can purchase with your Rewards Points but make sure you use them before they expire on June 30, 2013.

VIP Exclusives

What is VIP Exclusives?
A. VIP Exclusives are special offers and rewards given to loyal Xbox LIVE Gold members who are participants of the Xbox LIVE Rewards program.
How are VIPs selected?
A. The selection of VIPs differs for each Xbox LIVE Rewards VIP Exclusives offer, but if you stay active and remain an Xbox LIVE Gold member, you'll increase your chances of being selected. So, stay Gold and you could be a VIP!
I should have been a VIP, but never received my email. What should I do?
A. If you see a VIP Exclusive or other special offer on your MyRewards page under the Bonus section, but you never received the email, please contact us one of the two ways featured at the bottom of the page. All VIP Exclusives and other special offers expire one year from the offer date.

Refer-a-Friend

Do I have to be an Xbox LIVE Rewards member to participate in the Refer-a-Friend Reward?
A. You must be an Xbox LIVE Rewards Gold member to refer friends. However, you do not have to be an Xbox LIVE Rewards member to be eligible for the referral reward.
How many Rewards can I earn for referring friends?
A. While you can only refer up to 5 friends a day, there is no limit to the number of Rewards you can receive for successfully referring friends. A successful referral depends on the completion of a referred friend(s) upgrading to an Xbox LIVE Gold Membership within 14 days of receiving the referral email. Points will be awarded once your referred friend(s) have been Gold for at least 30 days.
My referred friend(s) upgraded to Gold. When can I expect to receive my 100 Microsoft Points?
A. Your 100 Microsoft Points will automatically be deposited into your Xbox LIVE account approximately 45 days after your referred friend upgrades to Gold.
How many Rewards can I earn for upgrading to an Xbox LIVE Gold membership after receiving a referral?
A. You can only receive the Refer-a-Friend Reward for upgrading to a Gold membership one time. However, Xbox LIVE Rewards Gold members can earn unlimited Rewards for referring friends who upgrade.
How often can I expect to receive referral emails from friends?
A. If you do not upgrade to Gold within 14 days, you will not be eligible to receive another offer for 90 days.
I was referred by an Xbox LIVE Rewards Gold member and upgraded my Xbox LIVE account to a Gold membership. When can I expect to receive my 100 Microsoft Points?
A. To receive the 100 points Reward, you must upgrade your Xbox LIVE account to Gold within 14 days of receiving the referral and you must retain your Gold membership for at least 30 days. Points may take up to 45 days to be deposited in your Xbox LIVE Rewards account. If you are not an Xbox LIVE Rewards member, you will be sent an email with your token for 100 Microsoft Points after the 30 days have passed.
Why can't I refer some of my friends?
A. There are multiple reasons a friend may not be eligible for the Refer-a-Friend Reward. Your friend may already be an Xbox LIVE Gold member or recently acted on a referral and upgraded to Gold. Also, the Refer-a-Friend reward may not be available in your friend's region. Please see the Terms and Conditions for full details.
Why isn't the Refer-a-Friend Reward available in my country?
A. Certain country's laws and regulations may prevent the Refer-a-Friend Reward from being eligible in your region. Check the Xbox LIVE Rewards website often to see the latest offers available in your area.

How do you enter the sweepstakes?
A. The sweepstakes is only open to Xbox LIVE Rewards members. But you can join now. See Official Rules for complete details.

How will I know if I'm a sweepstakes winner?
A. The grand prize drawing will be held after the promotion ends on or around July 25, 2012. The winner will be notified via the contact information provided upon registration.
Once I register for the sweepstakes, how will my information be used?
A. Your information is used to contact you if you're a winner. See our Privacy Statement for complete details.
I have recently moved or updated my email address. Can I change my registration information for this promotion?
A. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to the number of entries we receive, we are unable to change registration information unless you are awarded a prize. If you do win a prize during the promotional period, please contact fulfillment@eprizefulfillment.com and provide your updated information.
Why can’t I use my P.O. Box address on the registration form?
A. Our shipping service cannot ship to a P.O. Box, so if you are identified as a potential winner of a physical prize, we want to avoid delay in shipping your prize. Also, your home address allows us to identify your residence for eligibility purposes.

May Featured Marketplace Item

What is the May Featured Marketplace Offer?
A. During the month of May, spend 240 Microsoft Points or more on music-related game content (e.g. songs and song packs) or add-ons, and get 80 Microsoft Points back. The purchase can be any combination of transactions beginning May 1, 2012 12:00AM UTC and ending May 31, 2012 11:59PM UTC.
Who is eligible for the offer?
A. All Xbox LIVE Rewards members are eligible for the offer. Xbox LIVE Rewards members are only eligible to receive this reward once during the month of May 2012.
What Marketplace items qualify for this offer?
A. Music related game content or add-ons. Music related games are not included. A list of qualifying items can be found here.
I spent 240 Microsoft Points on qualifying items during the month of May but 80 Microsoft Points are not showing up as pending on my MyRewards page?
A. Microsoft Points will not appear as pending on your MyRewards page. Earned Microsoft Points will be deposited directly to your Xbox LIVE account by June 15, 2012. You will receive a summary of your May activity with your Rewards Statement which is sent out in June.
When will I receive my 80 Microsoft Points?
A. All Xbox LIVE Marketplace purchases will be calculated at the end of May. Points will be deposited to your Xbox LIVE account by June 15, 2012.
Are there any items that are disqualified from the May Featured Marketplace Offer?
A. Yes, game content that is explicitly disqualified includes, but is not limited to: Music-related games, free-content, videos, gamer tiles, avatar items, trailers, demos, trial songs, and other game content at the discretion of the Program Manager. Any purchase of the these items will not count towards the 240 Microsoft Points that must be spent in order to get 80 Microsoft Points back during the month of May. Additional Questions About Rewards Points

How long will it take for Rewards activity to show up as Pending Points?
A. Once you perform a Rewards activity, the points will display as pending within 36 hours. Occasionally, it may take up to 96 hours for activity to show up in your Pending Points so don't worry if you don't see the pending activity right away.
I logged into the Xbox LIVE Rewards website and my points balance seems wrong. What should I do?
A. First, remember that these are Rewards Points that have been earned through Xbox LIVE Rewards. This total does not include any Microsoft Points that have been purchased under your Xbox LIVE account. Don't worry, you can spend Reward Points just like the rest of your Microsoft Points.

Secondly, don't forget that Rewards Points are deposited into your Xbox LIVE account once per month. Check the Rewards Points Pending section of the MyRewards page to make sure you don't have any pending transactions, which will not yet show up in your Total Rewards Points Awarded. Rewards Points do show in your Microsoft Billing Points activity area along with points you’ve purchased or redeemed. You can look for your deposits there as well.

Do Games for Windows - LIVE Marketplace purchases qualify for the Xbox LIVE Rewards program?
A. Unfortunately, at this time, Games for Windows - LIVE Marketplace purchases do not count towards the Xbox LIVE Rewards program.

Xbox LIVE Rewards Account

Why can't I access my account information immediately after Registration?
A. It takes up to 36 hours to verify your information and set up your account. Don't worry, once you sign up we'll begin tracking your activity so you can earn Rewards points.
It's been more than 36 hours and I haven't received an update on my account. Is there a problem?
A. While most users receive confirmation within 36 hours, in rare circumstances, it may take up to 96 hours for your account set up to complete. You will receive an email once your information is verified.
How do I update my Xbox LIVE Rewards account information?
A. Xbox LIVE Rewards uses your existing Xbox LIVE account. To update personal information such as valid email address to receive notifications about your enrollment, follow the links and instructions provided under the My Xbox section of Xbox.com.
My latest profile information (e.g. Gamertag, Avatar) is not showing up. Is there something wrong?
A. Our team is working diligently as we want to make sure that the latest information in your account is showing up for you. We ask that you continue to participate while our systems are continually updated. It may take up to two weeks to see the latest changes to your profile.
I tried signing into Xbox LIVE Rewards but I can't remember my Windows Live password. How do I retrieve it?
A. Go to the Windows Live home page, click the "forgot password" link and follow the instructions provided to reset your password. Once this process is completed, go back to the Xbox LIVE Rewards home page to log in.
I'm having trouble logging in with my Windows Live account. What should I do?
A. For assistance with your Windows Live account, visit the Windows Live Sign-In Help Center.
Will I still receive Xbox LIVE Rewards Points if I change my Windows Live ID (email)?
A. Yes. If you migrate your Xbox LIVE Rewards account to a new Windows Live ID (email), there may be up to a 96 hour delay before you can log into Xbox LIVE Rewards with your new email. You may even be prompted to re-register – just ignore this request, but it will not hurt if you re-register. If you attempt to log in with your new email but Xbox LIVE Rewards does not recognize you, you can always check on your points using your old email. Rest assured, once the migration is complete, your points will be moved, and you will be able to access the information with your newly linked email.
What Rewards are available to members and how do I know which ones I am eligible for?

I have an Xbox LIVE Trial Gold subscription. Why does it still say I'm a free member?
A. Xbox LIVE Trial Gold subscriptions will not qualify as Gold on your Xbox LIVE Rewards account. You will not be able to participate in Gold activities or qualify for Rewards only available to Xbox LIVE Gold members.
